Heritage Building Works

LOOKING AFTER OUR HISTORY

In our 45 years of structural rectification, we have worked with engineers, government departments and trusts on some of NSW’s and Australia’s most iconic buildings. Known for their architectural and design significance for an era gone by, these buildings required a specialised approach which rectifies latent issues, yet which does not jeopardise architectural aspects of the building.

Our approach to working on these buildings is multi-faceted.

  • Understand the apparent issues
  • Investigate to identify if there are any latent issues causing the problems
  • Work with the appropriate statutory bodies to understand the building and what can and cannot be done
  • Take steps to protect the building from any damage caused by trade or erection of access equipment
  • Undertake work
  • Restore to original appearance

Case studies of successful heritage works are found below, yet we have also completed works on

  • AWA Tower Sydney
  • All Hallows School (Brisbane)
  • Sydney Youth Hostel Australia at Central Station (Sydney)
  • Central Railways Station (Sydney)
  • Sydney Eye Hospital
  • Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority – Various Projects
  • NSW Attorney Generals Department (Sydney)

Tall building - This requires expert working at heights knowledge
Working at Heights – What you need to know

26 June 2023. By Lorna

Australian work culture has for too long propagated a “Don’t be a wimp” attitude, which has seen employees chided for taking risk precautions.
